I'm Emma Thrasher, a young writer seeking to glorify God with her words. I write about the Christian walk, especially but not exclusively for teenagers. I'm passionate about topics like the applicability of the Bible, the rationality of the Christian faith, and the ability of stories to influence our walk with God.

I've been published multiple times on websites like the Rebelution and the CLT Journal.

I like tea, good books, and music! I'll geek out over any well-written fantasy series, and I love the classics as well. 

Since I launched Roses of Grace in January 2022, it's been an absolute roller coaster. But I've loved getting to connect with other like-minded Christians, and I plan to continue for as long as the Lord wills!

At the beginning of August, I decided to try an experiment. The experiment was pretty simple. For 30 days, I wouldn't consume a lot of the secular media that I enjoyed. It was during summer break, and I've been wasting a lot of my time on entertainment—and I wasn't being very careful about what kind of entertainment it was. Why did I do this? Well, because I wanted to see what would happen. My hypothesis was that the passive entertainment that we consume on a daily basis affects us more than we think. Attributes of God - Omnipotent

Who is God? God is omnipotent. God is omniscient. And God is perfect.  In this article series, requested by an email subscriber, I'm going to go over these three attributes of God, and talk about what it means for us. While there are certainly many attributes of God, so many that they aren't able to be counted, I'm only going to go over these three so that we can keep focused! Trusting God's Timing

I don't like waiting.  Can you relate? You probably can—we humans have an acute sense of what we want, and we don't like having to wait to get it.  As I write this, I'm a senior in high school. I'm at that weird transition stage where I don't really know what my future's going to look like, but there's nothing I can do about it right now—all I can do is wait for information from the colleges I applied to. I can't make my own decisions yet.  Isaiah 40:31 says that "those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength." I'm waiting on the Lord pretty literally when it comes to college—but I'm also waiting on the Lord for other things.  I'm waiting for him to act in specific ways in specific areas. For people I've been praying for to be saved. For mental struggles I've been praying to conquer. For life events that haven't happened yet, even though I wish they had.
